Police say a man has been shot in the parking lot of a storied mansion-turned-wedding palace on New York's Long Island.

Suffolk County police say the man has been hospitalized after the shooting around 12:30 p.m. Monday at Oheka (oh-HEE'-kah) Castle in Huntington. They haven't released the man's name or the hospital where he was taken.

Built to resemble a French chateau, Oheka Castle was one of America's biggest private homes when it was built for financier Otto Hermann Kahn in 1919.

It's now a hotel that has hosted the weddings of famous names, including Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers and former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner.

It also been seen as a backdrop in a number of movies and television shows, and in magazine photo shoots.
