Police: Florida Custodian Stole Gifts for Needy Families
SANFORD, Fla. -- Police say a central Florida school custodian is the Grinch who stole gifts intended for needy families.
Authorities say 47-year-old Barbara Williams took the wrapped gifts from the principal's office at Wilson Elementary School in Sanford. She was arrested Tuesday after being caught on security camera removing two bags of presents from the office last Friday.
Although Williams works at the school, officials say she had no reason to be in the office.
Seminole County sheriff's deputies arrested Williams when she arrived for work on Tuesday. She is charged with burglary and petty theft.
