Police: Florida boy, 3, found dead in obscure location inside home where he lived with dad

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Police say the body of a 3-year-old boy has been found inside the Florida home where he lived with his father.

Hollywood Police Chief Frank Fernandez offered few details Friday morning, other than to say Ahziya Osceola's body was discovered in an obscure location inside the home late Thursday night. He says the body wasn't visible to the "average person looking through the house."

Authorities had been searching for the boy since he was reported missing Thursday morning. Fernandez says the child's parents are cooperating with the investigation.

The home is roped off with yellow police tape, and a criminal investigation is underway.

Nelson Osceola told authorities the boy was sleeping when he left home early Thursday.
