Police: Body Found in Home of Missing Ohio Woman's Mother

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – Investigators in Ohio say they've found a body hidden in the basement of a woman whose adult daughter has been missing for several days.

Police in Bellefontaine in western Ohio said in a news release Thursday that officers searched and made the discovery Wednesday evening after they noticed clothing that appeared to be blood-stained while re-interviewing the mother of Tiffany Brown.

Police say the home's basement is primarily occupied by a 32-year-old man described as the mother's boyfriend. He is now being sought nationwide as a person of interest in the case.

Authorities say positive identification of the body and the cause of death will be determined through an autopsy.
