State police say a 25-year-old Providence man is facing charges including drunken driving causing a death after his passenger was killed when he drove the wrong way on Interstate 95.

Police said Jeremy Leiva, who had non-life-threatening injuries, is expected to be arraigned Sunday. It's not immediately known if he has a lawyer.

A 26-year-old Rhode Island woman riding in his car was killed. Her name has not been released.

Police said they got a 911 call at 1 a.m. Sunday that a car was going south in the northbound lanes of I-95 in Pawtucket, and shortly afterward the car collided with a pickup truck in the high-speed lane.

Police said the pickup driver, 33-year-old Andrea Spillane of Taunton, Massachusetts, has serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Forty-three-year-old Scott Spillane of Taunton was the only passenger.
