The Florida beauty queen who gunned down a home intruder with her pink .38-caliber handgun is looking to capitalize on the deadly shooting, demanding at least $1,500 for a racy photo of herself posing with the weapon.
Meghan Brown, a 25-year-old former pageant queen, shot and killed 42-year-old Albert Franklin Hill during a home invasion March 12 at the 2,732-square-foot house she shares with her fiance in Tierra Verde, Fla.
Hill barged into the home at around 3 a.m. after Brown responded to a knock at the front door, according to a police report. He allegedly grabbed Brown around her nose and mouth and tried dragging her to an upstairs bedroom.
Brown's fiance, Robert Planthaber, 42, fought the suspect while Brown ran to a nearby bedroom, grabbed her gun, and shot the intruder in the chest, groin, thigh and back, killing him.
Brown, who reigned as 2009 Miss Tierra Verde, gained online fame Wednesday after a picture emerged of her modeling black lace thigh-high stockings and a corset and pointing the pink gun her fiance gave her for Christmas.
FoxNews.com was one of the first news outlets to obtain a copy of the photo from her fiance, who text-messaged the picture Tuesday from his iPhone with no terms or conditions for usage.
After the national media grabbed hold of the story, however, Brown demanded money for the steamy photo, asking FoxNews.com to pay $1,500 to keep it online.
Brown said Thursday she was "not happy" to see the photo posted free of charge, and said her fiance was not authorized to distribute it without her knowledge.
"He's a fiance. He's not my manager," she said.
Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Robbery/Homicide Unit are still investigating the crime, according to local press reports. They say they haven’t yet determined the relationship, if any, Hill had with the couple. A police report said the ex-convict demanded money before the altercation between Hill and Planthaber ensued.
