Phoenix police looking for cause of apartment complex shooting that left 5 dead

Police are trying to piece together what sparked a weekend shooting at a Phoenix apartment complex that left five people and two dogs dead.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson said Sunday that authorities have not released the names of the suspected gunman or his victims.

Thompson said police still don't know why the killings happened. A man apparently shot four of his neighbors and two dogs in an apartment and then killed himself in a nearby apartment Saturday.

Phoenix television station KSAZ reports ( ) that the suspected gunman also fired shots at another neighbor's apartment.

Libni DeLeon said someone banged on his door and then fired several times, leaving holes in his door.
