Milwaukie, Ore. – Police are investigating the finding of a military grenade inside a 13-year-old boy's bedroom in Oregon, KPTV reported.
Austin Reamer discovered the grenade in between the rafters of his basement bedroom at his home in Milwaukie, south of Portland, on Sunday afternoon, according to the station. The boy alerted his father, who then contacted police.
Officials from Portland's bomb squad responded to the scene and removed the device, which turned out to be a modified military grenade.
Milwaukie police are now investigating how the grenade ended up in the boy's bedroom.
