TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a man has died from injuries he suffered when a tornado ripped through northwest Ohio earlier this month, bringing the death toll to six.

Sarah Velliquette, a spokeswoman for Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, says Ryan Walters of Millbury died Sunday evening.

Family members have said Walters, his wife, Mary, and their two children were asleep in upstairs bedrooms of their house when the tornado struck on June 5.

Mary Walters and the couple's 4-year-old son, Hayden, died shortly thereafter.

The couple's 7-year-old daughter, Madison, was released from Mercy St. Vincent after days of treatment for broken bones.

Velliquette had no details on Ryan Walters' injuries.

About 100 homes were destroyed or severely damaged by the twister.
