MARIETTA, Ohio – Authorities say an Ohio man has been charged with aggravated murder in the death of his 4-month-old son in June and attempted aggravated murder in the injuring of his 2-year-old daughter in November.
Adam Baker, of Marietta, was indicted Tuesday and is being held on $500,000 bond following his arrest Dec. 7.
Washington County Prosecutor Kevin Rings says Baker suffocated his son, Andrew, on June 7. The Marietta Times reports (http://bit.ly/1YApuoh) a coroner originally ruled the cause of death undetermined.
Rings says the 23-year-old Baker was arrested after his daughter stopped breathing and was taken to a Columbus hospital Nov. 23. The girl remains hospitalized.
Calls to the Washington County public defender's office went unanswered Thursday.
