A man arrested on a murder charge in the death of his 4-month-old daughter found dead along a riverbank in southwestern Ohio is scheduled for a court hearing.

A hearing is set for Tuesday in Batavia for Charles Crawford. The remains, believed to be those of his daughter, Kaylynn Crawford, were found less than 24 hours after Crawford told police someone snatched her from his parked car outside a store in the Cincinnati suburb of Loveland and fled. Investigators believe he fabricated that story.

The Ohio Attorney General's Office says Crawford was arrested Monday on the murder charge. Court records don't list an attorney for Crawford.

Authorities found the remains and the girl's car seat near the Little Miami River, a few miles from the store.
