Two women have been arrested after police in Newark, New Jersey, busted an illegal bar in a warehouse packed with 200 people amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to reports.
Denisse Tinizaray, 26, and Katherine Tinizaray, 28, both of Newark, were charged with maintaining an illegal liquor establishment, illegal possession of alcohol and illegal sale of alcohol, NJ.com reported.
Vice Task Force detectives responded to a large party at 6 Libella Court, where booze was being sold from behind a makeshift bar around midnight Sunday, public safety chief Anthony Ambrose said, according to the Daily Voice.

More than 200 people were inside, drinking alcohol and participating in illegal gambling, Ambrose said.

The two suspects were unable to produce paperwork proving they held a license to sell alcohol, he added.
This is the second illegal bar broken up in New Jersey this month.
On Dec. 14, police in Trenton arrested a resident after responding to neighbors’ complaints. They found 45 people inside the home, where the suspect was charging $5 a beer, according to NJ.com.
Police confiscated $942 in cash and 82 small bags of cocaine.

On Dec. 7, Gov. Phil Murphy lowered the limit of indoor gatherings to 25 people, down from 150, in response to the surging number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
