A 52-year-old man faces charges of child endangerment and possession of a stolen vehicle after a 4-year-old child was found standing alone in a bank parking lot late at night in Syracuse.

Syracuse police say the child's family members allowed Leon Tennant, an acquaintance, to walk with the boy to a store Sunday evening. When they didn't return, the family called police. The boy was found unharmed around 11:30 p.m.

After a search, police found Tennant and charged him with endangering the welfare of a child. He was also charged with having a Chevy pickup truck that had been stolen in Rome.

He's scheduled for arraignment Monday morning in Syracuse City Court.
