A New York City jury has begun watching a videotaped deposition by a British man convicted in an aborted shoe-bomb plot.
The video of Saajid Badat was played Thursday at the terror trial of Adis Madunjanin in federal court in Brooklyn.
Medunjanin has denied charges he plotted with two other would-be suicide bombers to attack Manhattan subways in 2009. The men were arrested before they could act.
Al Qaeda dispatched Badat in 2001 on a suicide mission, but he backed out. He pleaded guilty after his arrest two years later.
British authorities say it's the first time some convicted there of terrorism has offered evidence at the trial of an alleged terrorist.
