Police arrested the man believed to be the hammer-wielding rapist terrorizing New York City as he was following a woman with a hammer hidden in his backpack, police said.
Suspect Anthony Moore, 19, of New York allegedly raped a woman in Brooklyn last week and attempted to rape another victim 11 hours later, police said.
Then, at 2:40pm local time Friday, police picked him up as he allegedly was following and harassing a woman in Elmont, N.Y.
He later was picked out of a lineup by his previous alleged victims, cops said.
On April 9, Moore allegedly approached an 18-year-old woman and threatened to hit her with his hammer if she did not perform oral sex before allegedly raping her.
Later that morning, Moore allegedly followed a 22-year-old into her apartment and attempted to rape her, cops said.
He was hit with rape and several other charges.
