A Navy veteran is credited with helping stop a man from trying to jump in front of a train at a Philadelphia subway station.

WPVI-TV reports (http://6abc.cm/1Y1KEae ) 56-year-old Calvin Wilson was in the Race-Vine station on the Broad Street line on Wednesday morning when he noticed a woman trying to stop her husband from trying to jump onto the tracks.

Wilson says the woman screamed that she needed help and that the man was trying to kill himself.

Wilson is seen on subway cameras pushing a button to summon emergency help, grabbing the man and pulling him away from the tracks. Transit police arrived soon after, and the man was treated by medical personnel.
