Authorities are looking into an incident caught on video that appears to show a Navy official pointing a gun at people in northern Virginia during a confrontation.

In video obtained by CBS News, a man who appears to be Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy Karnig Ohannessian argues with people in front of a home, pointing a gun at them. In a statement, Rear Adm. Dawn Cutler, Navy Chief of Information, says officials are aware of the video and Ohannessian's supervisor is "taking the appropriate action."

Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Officer Megan Hawkins says police received a report of a man brandishing a gun in Burke on June 11, but the alleged victims left. Two days later, she says a report was filed and an officer arrested a man, but a warrant was declined. Hawkins declined to identify the man.
