MOUNT ENTERPRISE, Texas – A woman and her two young sons have died after flames swept through their rural mobile home in East Texas.
The fire happened near the tiny East Texas town of Mount Enterprise, about 140 miles southeast of Dallas. A statement from the Rusk County Sheriff's Office says April Nicole Yarbrough's brother, who lives next door, called about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to report smoke coming from her mobile home. The brother then went to the trailer, kicked in the front door and found the interior engulfed in flames.
After the flames were doused, firefighters found the body of the 25-year-old mother and her two sons, 7-year-old Zi'quaven Ke'onta Yarbrough and 3-year-old Tyrell Deshawn Dixon.
The cause of the blaze was under investigation by the state fire marshal's office.
