A part-time city employee was reportedly arrested for allegedly driving a Zamboni while drunk during a Minnesota hockey game.
The employee, who was not identified because he had not been formally charged as of late Tuesday, weaved across the ice erratically and crashed the ice-cleaning machine into the boards at Hayes Arena in Apple Valley, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
The 34-year-old Apple Valley man was later arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken to police headquarters for a blood-alcohol test. He has been reportedly convicted of drunken driving in 2002 and twice in 1999.
