LOS ANGELES โ The largest gathering of world leaders this side of the United Nations is convening this weekend at a decidedly less glamorous edifice: the Anaheim Central Library down the street from Disneyland.
The United States, Great Britain and China won't be represented. But the Republic of Molossia, the Grand Duchy of Westarctica and the Kingdom of Slabovia will be sending dignitaries.
The occasion is MicroCon 2015. Organizers say it's the first North American gathering of micronations.
For the uninitiated, micronations are those itty bitty countries that pretty much nobody but the people who rule them believe really exist.
Many issue their own money and stamps, however. Most dress their leaders in colorful outfits that even a Third World dictator would envy.
