MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Police in Tennessee have arrested two men after an ice cream truck driver was robbed, beaten with a baseball bat and left with a broken arm.
News outlets report that the driver was at a Memphis apartment complex July 26 when a man jumped into the truck, assaulted him and demanded money. The driver said another man joined the attack, and one of the men hit him with a baseball bat. They stole $480 and fled.
The driver had a broken arm and injuries to his head and face.
An affidavit says 20-year-old Dontavious Curtis was arrested Monday. He faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder.
Nineteen-year-old Dontevious Stewart was arrested last week and charged with being an accessory in the attack.
It's unclear whether either man has an attorney.
