Police arrested a man in Massachusetts for allegedly attacking his wife with a sheetrock hammer while she slept.
Officers arrived on the scene to find the victim bleeding from her face, head and arms, but still alert, MyFoxBoston.com reports.
The suspect was found covered in blood and appeared drunk, police say. He was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery, domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder.
The couple was transported to area hospitals to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, MyFoxBoston.com reports.
