A Chicago man who as a 14-year-old fooled police into letting him drive a squad car has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for posing as an officer again.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports (http://bit.ly/1ave1r5 ) that the now-19-year-old Vincent Richardson pleaded guilty Thursday to impersonation of a peace officer. Prosecutors say Richardson posed as an officer in July while trying to buy police clothing.

Richardson showed his driver's license and was arrested after a store employee looked up his name on the Internet. The worker realized he was the same person who impersonated an officer as a teen.

In 2009, Richardson walked into a police station dressed as an officer, went on patrol and even helped with an arrest. The incident was highly embarrassing for the Chicago Police Department.
