A man has admitted bribing Philadelphia's indicted district attorney with gifts and cash.

Prosecutors say Mohammad N. Ali gave District Attorney Seth Williams a vacation to the Dominican Republic, a $3,000 sofa, expensive electronics and jewelry, a fancy dinner and thousands of dollars. They say in return Williams helped Ali get through airport security more quickly after foreign travel.

Authorities say Ali also wanted Williams' help with criminal charges against an associate.

The 40-year-old Ali is from Feasterville, just northeast of Philadelphia. He pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court. He faces up to five years in prison on the bribery count. He also admitted filing a false income tax return.

Williams is a two-term Democrat. He awaits trial on charges he took more than $100,000 in cash, trips and luxury gifts from several businessmen. He denies the charges.
