Police say a man has been fatally stabbed outside a mall in northeast Ohio, and a suspect is being sought.

Akron police say the attack happened Wednesday night in the Chapel Hill Mall's parking lot. They say the 35-year-old victim ran into the mall to escape and collapsed near the Finish Line store.

The man was taken to Summa Akron City Hospital, where he died. His name isn't being released until his family is notified.

Police are unsure what led to the stabbing.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set black man around 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing an oversized black T-shirt, gray shorts with white stripes down the side of the leg and white shoes with black laces.

He was last seen in a red SUV.
