A man charged with shooting a Boston police officer is being held on $1.5 million bail.

A judge on Monday set bail for Grant Headley at $500,000 on drug charges and at $1 million on gun and assault-with-intent-to-murder charges in the shooting Friday of Officer Kurt Stokinger. He is accused of selling crack cocaine Jan. 5. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Stokinger was shot in the leg. He was released from the hospital Sunday and is expected to make a full recovery.

The 27-year-old Headley shouted during his arraignment that police had tried to "assassinate" him.

His court-appointed lawyer argued for $25,000 bail, saying her client has always shown up for court.
