A Washington state man who police say drove his girlfriend's body to a psychiatric hospital and told staff he killed her has a court hearing Wednesday.

Police say 29-year-old Attila Richards told employees at Western State Hospital on Sunday that he had killed his girlfriend and needed help. He said her body was in his car.

Court documents say workers saw the body in the car and called authorities.

Richards told police the two were inside a car and he woke to find her kicking him. He says he was worried she would kill him so he pulled out a knife and stabbed her many times.

The woman has been identified as 24-year-old Biftu Dadi.

The Seattle Times reports (http://is.gd/5Yfvor ) that a judge set Richards' bail at $2 million Tuesday.
