ST. MARTINVILLE, La. – St. Martin Parish sheriff's deputies say a 21-year-old St. Martinville man has been arrested in the shooting death of his pregnant 19-year-old fiancee.
Deputies tell The Advocate that the shooting followed a domestic dispute Wednesday afternoon at the couple's home.
Authorities say the 19-year-old victim, Hannah Parker also of St. Martinville, was seven months pregnant.
Twenty-one-year-old Joshua McKeel was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on one count each of second-degree murder and first-degree feticide.
It was unclear whether McKeel had an attorney.
