A suspected drug user who was barricaded in a red pick-up truck and believed to be armed early Tuesday morning, surrendered to police, the Los Angeles Police Department said. No injuries were reported.
Police initially responded to a dispute call in West Hills between the man and his pregnant girlfriend at about 6:50 a.m. local time.
Local reports describe the man as a parolee who is wanted for several felonies. KTTV reported that he may have been armed with an AK-47, and owns two handguns.
Police described the suspect as a white male in his 20s.
