Kentucky woman killed daughter, granddaughter, police say

Police in Kentucky say they have charged a woman with murder in the fatal stabbings of her daughter and 22-month-old granddaughter.

The Winchester Sun reports that police announced Tuesday that 48-year-old Lillie Stanton faces two counts of murder in the stabbings Sunday of 23-year-old Danel Korrey Stanton and the toddler, Kaydence Ray Miers.

Winchester is about 20 miles east of Lexington. Police say Stanton is being treated at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for self-inflected knife wounds.
