Jury selection is over and testimony will start Monday in the first trial stemming from a deadly attack on a woman during a New Hampshire home invasion.

Eighteen-year-old Steven Spader is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and witness tampering. Prosecutors say he was the mastermind behind the home invasion last year.

Kimberly Cates was hacked to death with a machete and knife and her 11-year-old daughter, Jaimie Cates, was severely injured inside their Mont Vernon home.

Jaimie Cates is on the state's list of 70 witnesses the state may call.

Spader faces life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted of murder.

Sixteen jurors were chosen after four days of individual questioning.
