A prosecutor showed jurors in Las Vegas photos of a glamorous brown-eyed dancer from the racy "Fantasy" revue and her dismembered corpse during opening statements in the murder trial of the ex-boyfriend accused of killing her.

Jason Omar Griffith sat impassively as prosecutor Marc DiGiacomo said evidence will show Griffith killed Deborah Flores Narvaez in December 2010 and tried to dispose of her body in tubs of cement.

Griffith defense attorney Jeff Banks told the jury it's not that simple.

Griffith has pleaded not guilty, and Banks says evidence will show Griffith was defending himself when Narvaez died.

He says elaborate efforts to hide the body don't prove otherwise.

Jurors were told Flores and Griffith had a stormy relationship and traded accusations of domestic violence, but kept returning to each other.
