WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Prosecutors say a man charged with killing a Pennsylvania pharmacist and the pharmacist's girlfriend used the same kind of plastic ties to restrain a jeweler during a 2003 robbery that he used to strangle his victims.
Authorities say Hugo Selenski and an accomplice strangled pharmacist Michael Kerkowski and Tammy Fassett in May 2002 in a plot to rob Kerkowski of tens of thousands of dollars made from illegal prescription drug sales.
Selenski is already serving decades in prison for robbing jeweler Samuel Goosay, who testified in the murder trial Wednesday.
Authorities found the bodies of Kerkowski, Fassett and at least three other sets of human remains on Selenski's property north of Wilkes-Barre in June 2003.
Another man, Paul Weakley, has already pleaded guilty and testified against Selenski.
Selenski has pleaded not guilty.
