An Iowa man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting his pregnant wife with a McDonald’s McChicken sandwich, according to the Des Moines Dispatch.
Des Moines police responded to a call at the couple’s home Tuesday afternoon where Marvin Tramaine Hill II, 21, admitted to throwing the sandwich at his wife “because he doesn’t like them.”
Hill told police his wife woke him up around 1 p.m. holding the McChicken and admitted he became upset and threw the sandwich at her. He then picked up some of the bun, throwing it at her for a second time.
The woman went to the bathroom where Hill followed her and began recording her using his cell phone. The video, which was later shared with police, shows Hill’s wife knocking the phone out of his hands.
When officers arrived, Hill’s wife had mayonnaise on her face and shirt. She claimed that Hill forcefully smashed the bun into her face.
According to the police report obtained by the Des Moines Dispatch, the woman’s nose was swollen and it is believed that Hill was trying to entice the woman into knocking the phone out of his hands to make her appear aggressive
Hill was taken to Polk County jail for domestic assault where he remains in custody. His weapons permit has been confiscated.
