NEW YORK – Dollar Tree Inc. said Friday that Howard R. Levine is stepping down as an officer of the company following the integration of Family Dollar.
In July, Dollar Tree bought Family Dollar for $8.5 billion and Levine, then CEO of Family Dollar, remained with the company to assist in the integration. He will step down on Jan. 15 and Gary Philbin will continue leading the Family Dollar unit.
Bob Sasser is the CEO of Dollar Tree, based in Chesapeake, Virginia.
