A homicide suspect whose escape from a Nevada police station and recapture four days later drew intense interest has been indicted in a second killing, and police are identifying him as the lone suspect in a third slaying.

Alonso Perez's court-appointed attorney, Clark Patrick, declined Monday to comment about those cases and several others pending against Perez.

Patrick says Perez plans to fight the charges against him.

Perez has been jailed since his recapture in September after breaking handcuffs and escaping during questioning by North Las Vegas police about the shooting death of a man at a local fast-food restaurant.

Police say that just hours after that killing, Perez fatally shot a motorcycle rider in a neighborhood confrontation.

An arrest report in that case identifies Perez as the suspect in yet another fatal shooting about a week earlier.
