Separate preliminary hearings are slated next week for the Pennsylvania newlyweds police say fatally stabbed a stranger they lured through Craigslist because they wanted to kill somebody together.

Twenty-two-year-old Elytte Barbour and 18-year-old Miranda Barbour, of Selinsgrove in central Pennsylvania, are scheduled to appear Friday at the Northumberland County Courthouse. They are charged with criminal homicide and other offenses in the apparently random killing of 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara, of Port Trevorton, in Sunbury on Nov. 11.

Edward Greco is the Northumberland County chief public defender who is representing Miranda Barbour. He says she is expected to plead not guilty. The husband is being represented by a different court-appointed lawyer, who didn't return several phone messages seeking comment.

They are being held without bail.
