SNELLVILLE, Ga. -- A woman who had been voted Teacher of the Year at a Gwinnett County high school has resigned amid allegations she had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Records obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution show 29-year-old Keenon Aampay Hall left her job as an English teacher at Shiloh High School after being accused of seducing a student who came to her for help with homework.

An investigative file shows the student, who is a graduating senior, claims Hall gave him gifts and pressured him to get her pregnant.

When he declined, the student's family says Hall gave him a failing grade, prompting him to report the relationship to officials.

Hall's mother, Connie Hall, says her daughter resigned for medical reasons.

Gwinnett County officials are investigating.
