Authorities say a Georgia man was fatally shot during a standoff with police.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Henry County police officers responded to a report of a fight between a father and son at a Stockbridge home around 7 p.m. Friday. Officers returned to the home around 11 p.m. after a report that the son had shot at his father, who wasn't hit and fled the home.

When no one answered the door, officers treated the situation as a barricaded gunman.

The GBI says SWAT team officers entered the home around 2:40 a.m. Saturday and determined the man was still in the home and tried to establish contact.

The GBI says a stun gun and gunshots were fired inside the home, killing the man. No officers were injured.
