Two boys have been elected "cutest couple" in the senior class at their suburban New York high school.

The choice at Carmel High has created something of an online sensation, thanks to a yearbook photo of the smiling boys in a close embrace.

But it seems to have been accepted with little notice at the school.

One of the boys says they're getting teased a bit — but that's because of their Internet fame, not for being gay. Other students say the boys are popular, smart and helpful.

The principal says acceptance of gays does not seem to be an issue with high schoolers these days. The "cutest" boys — and the mother of one of them — say they've never had a problem at school.
