The Rev. Franklin Graham, the outspoken Christian evangelist, has a very clear message: The terror attacks in Paris and Beirut have shown that “Islam has declared war on the world.”

In a statement he posted on his Facebook page this week, Graham, 63 — who runs the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association named for his father — referenced other horrific attacks by Islamic terrorists.

“Islam has declared war on the world, and it’s high time we acknowledge it and respond decisively,” he wrote.

He said of the ISIS terrorists: “They have told us what they plan to do. Their goal is world domination. They want to control us — they want to destroy us. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to live under Islam. I will bow my knee to no one except Almighty God.”

Graham also wrote that this country must “elect a president and leaders willing to take the fight to the Islamic State.”

“We need to join forces with Russia who was our ally in WWII, France who is our oldest ally, Germany, and others to destroy this enemy,” Graham said.

“The French are already responding to Friday’s attacks, but it is going to take much more to stop them. Our world is in great peril. We need to pray for God’s mercy, His grace, and His protection. I pray that America will turn to God before it’s too late.”

At least 129 people were killed and several hundred more were wounded in Paris after the terrorists struck at six different locations in the capital of France. The attacks included explosions outside a sports stadium during a soccer match, as well as vicious attacks during a concert at the Bataclan Theatre.

ISIS has already vowed similar attacks in the United States.

The terror group also struck in Beirut, with at least 40 people killed and more than 200 wounded in a double suicide bombing attack.

In response to the action by students at the University of Minnesota who have rejected a resolution to honor victims of the 9/11 terror attacks in this country because students worry such a measure could foster “Islamaphobia,” Graham wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday night:

“You’d better believe we should be afraid of Islam! Islamic terrorists just killed over 129 people in Paris and injured 350. Islamic terrorists brought down a Russian airliner over the Sinai, killing 224 people. Islamic terrorists, in two bombings last night and today, killed 46 and injured 120 in Nigeria. And let us never forget that Islamic terrorists took the lives of nearly (3,000) Americans on September 11, 2001 and injured scores at the Boston Marathon bombing. Not commemorating 9/11 would be like not remembering Pearl Harbor because we don’t want to possibly offend the Japanese. How stupid is that?”

Graham added, “President George W. Bush said it so well: ‘Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children.’ Here’s my message to the students of the University of Minnesota — Wake up, we live in a dangerous world.”

Graham’s original Facebook post about Islam has received more than 278,000 likes, over 155,000 shares, and more than 29,000 comments.
