A Florida puppeteer known for involvement in his local community was arrested and charged for possession of child pornography, conspiring to kidnap and even fantasized about cannibalism, authorities say.

Ronald William Brown, 57, had access to hundreds of children through his business, a traveling puppet show called "Puppets Plus." He reportedly worked at schools, birthday parties, malls and even church groups.

The case came to light during a child pornography investigation that started in Kansas. Authorities say they found an online chat between Brown and a man there.

According to investigators, Brown fantasized about strangling, dismembering and then cannibalizing his young victims, describing it all in graphic detail.

Brown has performed at Tampa Bay Rays games and at the Florida Botanical Gardens, according to pictures on his Facebook page.

Brown sat before a judge for a preliminary examination on Tuesday.

Thursday night, nearly a dozen officers searched his mobile home and agents emptied Brown’s tool shed, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

"I can confirm we have found more evidence," Homeland Security agent Guillermo Cancio told the Times.

Agents had previously searched the home and his computer and reported to have found lewd images of children.
