A 90-year-old Florida woman is recovering from injuries after she was dragged through a parking lot outside a grocery store during a purse-snatching attempt.
Police say Jose Luis Delgado-Pastrana, 27, of Kissimmee, pulled up in an SUV alongside the woman when she was leaving a Publix and asked her for money, to which she replied that she didn’t have any, WKMG reports.
Delgado-Pastrana then allegedly grabbed her purse -- strung along the woman's shoulder -- and drove away, dragging her 15 feet.
The woman suffered numerous broken bones and road rash.
Delgado-Pastrana was arrested and charged with robbery, aggravated battery on a person 65 years or older, larceny and aggravated abuse of an elderly person, WKMG reports. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
