Flooding swamps Northeast homes as Western wildfires burn
20 million people face the continuing threat of flooding across parts of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania; firefighters battle more than a dozen fires in California, but the weather is helping.
The threat for heavy rainfall and flash flooding will continue across portions of the Northeast today with drier weather on the way this week.


Meanwhile, a slow-moving storm system will keep the threat for flooding across parts of the Central U.S. through mid-week.

Across the West, elevated fire weather conditions will continue. Dry thunderstorms could spark more wildfires.
