A New Jersey father accused of violating a custody agreement by taking his two sons out of New Jersey has waived extradition from Florida.

A Pinellas County Court spokesman said Kristopher Dohm appeared in court Friday.

Dohm was found with his two sons at the Royal Palm Inn in New Port Richey, Florida, on Wednesday. He was arrested on charges of interference with custody and unlawful flight.

Authorities say he was with Edward Tarras Jr., who they say is wanted in Tennessee after cutting off a tracking bracelet in August. Tarras faces numerous sex-related charges including sexual exploitation of a minor.

Authorities say Dohm left New Jersey in February with his 8 and 7-year-old sons in violation of a custody agreement.

The boys were first reported missing by their mother.
