A Nevada judge refused to dismiss charges against a former mixed martial arts fighter accused of attacking his porn actress ex-girlfriend and her friend in August.

Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver stood in shackles Wednesday while his attorney argued evidence didn't support four of the 34 felony charges.

Koppenhaver, also named War Machine, blurted out he wants to take a lie-detector test. A uniformed court officer silenced him.

The judge noted polygraph results aren't admissible.

Koppenhaver has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, sexual assault, kidnapping and other charges that could get him life.

He's accused of beating and sexually assaulting ex-girlfriend Christy Mack and a friend.

The Associated Press usually doesn't identify alleged victims of sex assault, but Mack has agreed to the use of her name.
