Emergency management official: 4 killed in plane crash near Umpire in southwest Arkansas
UMPIRE, Ark. – UMPIRE, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say four people are dead after the crash of a civilian airplane near the Howard County community of Umpire in southwest Arkansas.
The Howard County sheriff's office confirmed that an airplane had crashed outside Umpire in northern Howard County.
Renee Preslar, spokeswoman for the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management, said she had been told four people were aboard the plane and that all of them died.
Neither the sheriff's office nor Preslar had details of the crash.
