New Mexico State Police say a Las Vegas man has been arrested for his 12th DWI after driving more than 120 mph on Interstate 25.

SHELTER-IN-PLACE ORDER ISSUED AS FIRE RAGES THROUGH AUTO-WRECKING YARD

They say 45-year-old Edward Moya was arrested Dec. 7 by an officer on patrol in San Miguel County.

The officer spotted the speeding car south of Las Vegas and says Moya tried multiple maneuvers including deliberately reversing his vehicle and ramming the patrol car.

The officer eventually arrested Moya, who allegedly admitted to drinking before driving but refused to comply with DWI testing.

Police say Moya is jailed on suspicion of DWI, aggravated battery upon a peace officer, driving with a revoked license, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, reckless driving and not having car insurance.

It was unclear Thursday if Moya has a lawyer.
