The daughter of a woman beheaded during an attack at an Oklahoma food plant where she worked calls her mother "a caring and compassionate woman."

Kelli Hufford spoke Wednesday about the Sept. 25 death of her mother, 54-year-old Colleen Hufford.

Kelli Hufford says she felt "complete and utter shock" when she learned how her mother had been killed. But she says some of the initial shock is beginning to wear off because her neighbors, family and friends have reached out to console her.

Prosecutors have charged a plant employee who had been disciplined that morning, 30-year-old Alton Nolen, with first-degree murder. They say they'll seek the death penalty.

Authorities said Nolen attacked Hufford from behind, severing her head, and attacked another employee before the plant's chief operating officer shot Nolen.
