Chrysler Group LLC has suspended nine workers following investigative reports by MyFoxDetroit.com that caught workers allegedly drinking and smoking marijuana on camera before their shifts at a Michigan plant.

Chrysler says it identified the workers in the station's video, which was shot at the Trenton Engine Plant and aired last week. All nine have been suspended without pay while the company investigates, according to the station.

"While the evidence seems conclusive, the company needs to act in accordance with corporate policy and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement before further action is taken," Chrysler said in a statement obtained by MyFoxDetroit.com. "The investigation is ongoing."

This is the second time in a year that the station has reported on Chrysler workers drinking and smoking before a shift.

Last fall, the company fired two workers and gave two others unpaid, one-month layoffs after the station took video of them drinking beer before the start of their shift at a Detroit assembly plant.
